The main work of name servers is to connect your domain name into IP address and to connect it with the hosting plan you have with us. You might need to know your name servers if you are registering a domain through other domain name registrars than us.
What are my Nameservers? #
The SowfiHost DNS Nameservers can be easily located within your lab by following the steps below:
1) Once you are logged into your Client Area (Client area) click on Services.
2) Then, you will see the services you have. Click on the Active Button.
3) On this page scroll down to the last. Now, you will see Billing Information and Server Information tab. Click on Server Information.
You will be able to see the name servers to which your domains should be pointed.
Note these can be used with the following hosting products: Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Cloud Hosting and Cloud WordPress Hosting.
Note: If you did not receive your welcome letter, please contact our Support team and we can re-send it out to you.
What is my server’s IP address? #
There’s another scenario when you might want to preserve the existing name servers ( external name servers ) for your domain name, and just point your domain name to our server. In this case, you will need to change the A record to which your domain points, to our server’s IP address.
You can find your server’s IP address in New Account Information email, that you have received once you’ve signed up with us. Look up after ‘Account IP‘. Another quick way to locate your server’s IP address is by logging into cPanel and check on the right-hand side > GENERAL INFORMATION > Shared IP address
Note: This type of DNS change must be done from the end of your nameservers holder.
